
AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF VICE PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATION – MRS FELICIA NWABURU ONWUBIKO
Mrs. Felicia onwubiko ( nee Azunna) was in the 1979 graduating set of girls Trade Centre (GTC) now Girls technical college, Aba, in Abia state. While a student, she represented the school at various inter-school debating and quiz competitions. Her Grade One (1) result did not surprise the school community since she had topped her class from form One through Form five.
On leaving GTC Aba, she gained admission to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and graduated with a bachelor of science Degree in Business Education with 2nd class honors (upper Division) in the year 1983. She proceeded to do her NYSC in Rivers state college of Education, Rumudulmeni in Port Harcourt where she was one of the three members of staff that pioneered the establishment of the NCE programme in business and secretarial studies. Her interest in higher education saw her bag a post Graduate diploma in Management (PGDM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) all from the University of Jos, Nigeria
An Assistant Director (Education), Mrs. F. N. Onwubiko has been in the employment of ministry of defence with Air Force Girls comprehensive school, 330 NAF station, Jos, as her unit.
She was one of the three ministry of defence staff of the eighteen pioneer teachers of the then Air Force Girls military school (now Air force Girls comprehensive school), Jos. While the other teachers had either left the system or gone on posting, she has till date remained the longest serving teacher in Air Force Girls comprehensive school, Jos. The Alumnae association of the school recognized this in 2007 when they conferred on her the longest serving teacher award.
In Air force Gir’ls comprehensive school, Jos. She had been a class teacher, business studies and commerce Teacher, Head of Vocational Department and is currently the Vice principal (Administration). She had participated in many in-house workshops on classroom and school Administration.
Mrs. Onwubiko is a registered teacher with the Teachers Registration council of Nigeria and a member of the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (MABEN).
Married with two boys, she loves reading and writing. Her writing skill had seen her contribute articles to the Nigerian Standard Newspaper and several others in the school magazine (The pearl) on educational, administrative and others issues of general interest.
She admires Chief (Mrs.) Bola Kuforiji Olubi (former UBA Chairperson) and Dr. (Mrs) Obiageli Ezekwesili (Former Minister of Education and Solid minerals and now vice president, world bank and Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, World Bank Managing Director.
