BIOGRAPHY – Wing Commander Babatunde Toyin Oguntunde , COMMANDANT AIR FORCE COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL AGBANI-ENUGU


Wing Commander Babatunde Toyin Oguntunde (NAF/2397) was born on 12 October 1967 into the family of Late Chief Joseph Aransiola Oguntunde and Mrs Sikeola Oguntunde. He hailed from Pamo-Isin in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.

He attended Local Authority Primary School Asawure - Ife, in Osun State for his First School Leaving Certificate.  Consequently, He proceeded to Ilorin Grammar School, Ilorin where he obtained his West African School Certificate in 1986.  Thereafter, he went to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin from 1988 to 1990 for his Interim Joint Matriculation Board ‘A’ Level.  He was subsequently admitted into the University of Ilorin in 1992 where he graduated with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics in 1996.  He also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Education from University of Jos.

Wing Commander BT Oguntunde was enlisted into the NAF on 2 February 1998 as a member of Direct Regular Commission Course 10 and proceeded to the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna for basic training.  He was commissioned Flying Officer on 18 July 1998 and deployed to the Nigerian Air Force Education Corp.His first posting was to Air Force Military School (AFMS) Jos, where he served from 1998 to 2002.  While in AFMS, He was variously an academic instructor, Squadron Officer and the Squadron Commander. He was also the Admin Officer Student Wing, Principal Instructor Languages and Admin Officer Academic Wing.

Wing Commander BT Oguntunde was posted   to 75 Strike Group, Yola as Group Education Officer in October 2002.  While in Yola, he also served as OC PASS and Acting Commanding Officer Operational Support Wing.  He attended the Junior Staff Course 56 between July and November 2003 at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, where he was awarded pjsc.  He was subsequently posted to Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Directorate of Education, Abuja as Staff Officer Grade II Inspection and Training in September 2005.  Wing Commander BT Oguntunde was in Democratic Republic of Congo on UN Peace Keeping Mission between June 2007 and June 2008 after which he went to AFCSC Jaji for his Senior Staff Course from July 2008 – July 2009 where he was awarded Pass Staff Course (psc). 

On completion of the course, he was posted to 81 Air Maritime Group in August 2009 as Group Education Officer and later 435 Base Services Group in January 2010 also as Group Education Officer.  He was later posted to Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (Directorate of Training) as Staff Officer Grade 1 Training Management in May 2010 and redeployed as Staff Officer Grade 1 Education in January 2011 before he was appointed Commandant Air Force Comprehensive School, Agbani-Enugu in July 2011.

 
     Wing Commander Babatunde Toyin Oguntunde is happily married and blessed with 3 children, 2 boys and a girl.  His hobbies include playing golf, travelling and watching football.
