Admission procedure for the school and for all other NAF Secondary Schools is centrally conducted by NAF Directorate of Education. Every admission letter must be signed by the Director of NAF Education.
The entrance examination for those candidates who obtained entrance forms is yearly conducted on the same day in all the NAF Secondary Schools except Air Force Military School Jos. There is also Interview/Selection Written Test for the shortlisted candidates after the first entrance examination. The second admission procedure consists of two parts, namely, (i) Oral interview which carries 20% of the marks and (ii) Selection written test which attracts 80% of the total marks.
The admission is highly competitive and the final selection is based purely on merit. The students are generally grouped into three:
- Airmen children
- Officers/Staff children
- Civilian children
It is also a policy to have not more that 30 students per class for effective teaching and learning process.
