GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
There are the rules and regulations of binging students:
1. The rules and regulation of Air Force Comprehensive School, Ibadan are equally binding on all students.
2. All School Activities like normal morning classes, afternoon and evening preps, cleaning of surroundings, meals, assembly, games etc. are to be attended promptly and punctually by all students. Any exempted student must show a permission slip.
3. The school gate, staff room, staff quarters and staff canteen are all out of bounds to students except when summoned.
4. Students must go through proper channel of communication, i.e. from the Class teacher/House master or Mistress/senior Housemaster or Mistresses Matron/Patron to the Students’ Affairs Officer, VP Academics/VP Admin before reaching the Commandant.
5. English language is the lingua franca of all students in Air Force Comprehensive School Ibadan.
6. Deliberate or accidental damage of any school properly carries serious consequences.
7. Cheating in exams, tampering with report sheets, stealing, processing unsigned library books are grievous offences.
8. Disrespect, fighting, use of obscene words, threats etc. are totally prohibited.
9. Prefects and official appointment holders should treat other students as brothers/sisters.
10. General sanitation is a must. Students must maintain neat physical appearance. The junior girls should have short hair, trimmed nails, student earning and there should be no form of make up. The senior girls’ hair style must conform with the pattern acceptable to the school.
11. Prompt completion of assignments and other classroom requirements are expected of the students.
12. Students must be dressed in the correct uniform for attending lessons, clubs and societies’ day when other schools are invited. Approved school uniform comprises dark blue trousers/skirt, sky-blue short-sleeve shirt, brown sandals and pure white socks for senior students. Junior boys are to wear knickers.
13. Any form of fire arm (be it dummy) is prohibited.
14. Students are not to bring private electronic equipment such as radio, television, tape recorder, rechargeable lantern with radio, telephone handset, etc into the school.
15. Unnecessary noise making in the class is not allowed
16. Any reported case of such will be punishable with some stroke of the cane.
16. Roaming about in and outside the class during school hours is prohibited. Any teacher around will punish anybody caught.
17. Unnecessary conversation in groups other than an academic work is forbidden.
18. Littering the class with papers and bags is not allowed. Class representatives will report cases of such to the class teachers who will take appropriate action.
19. Sleeping in the classroom during any period is prohibited. Anybody caught will be punished by jogging round the field.
20. It is unlawful to leave the classroom unswept. Anybody guilty of this will have an extended punishment of sweeping the same classroom.
DINING HALL RULES
Eating in the dining hall is compulsory for all students at the time scheduled.
i.)All students must be properly dressed.
ii.)Prayers are to be said by the Dining Hall Prefect or anybody assigned before all meals are taken.
iii.)Taking food out of dining hall is strictly prohibited.
iv.) Practice the following table manner
a.)Eat with correct set of cutlery.
b.)No sharing of cups, plates or cutlery set.
c.)Be seated during meals.
d.)No chewing of meat or fruits outside the dining hall.
e.)No talking while eating.
v.)No punishment is to be administered on any student during and immediately after meals.
vi.)No student is to be deprived of his/her meals.
vii.)No student should loiter or stand during meals.
viiiThe dining hall prefect and teachers on duty are to ensure the feeding of all sick students.
ix.) Dirtying the dining hall and its facilities is an offence.
LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
All students and staff are entitled to use the library and have on loan specified number of books at a given time.Reference books such as Encyclopedia and dictionaries are to be used only in the library. Contradiction by a student will earn him/her fatigue for two days.
i)The loan period is one week but books may be renewed for additional one.
week if no other person has requested for such books. Books overdue for return to the library will attract a surcharge.
ii.)Reserved books may be borrowed for one lesson period and for
reading within the library.Damage to or loss of books by any student shall attract a surcharge
equivalent to the prices of such books damaged or lost
.iii.)
No books are to be taken from the library without being issued by the
library staff. Contravention of this rule will attract public display of culprit and fatigue for 2 days. Second time offences earns the culprit suspension from library usage.
iv.)Food and snacks are not to be eaten in the library. Once seen, such food
shall be seized and the culprit made to clean the library for 3 days.
v.)Noise making is prohibited in the library. Contravention of this rule will
lead to suspension of the culprit from library for one week.
vi.)Personal textbooks are restricted to the reading area only.
vii.)Bags are to be dropped at the main entrance of the library.
viii.)Students must be properly dressed while in the library.
DORMITORY RULES
i.)Sleeping together on the same bed is prohibited. Any group of students found breaking this rule will be punished. Persistent breaking of this rule may lead to the suspension of students involved from school .
.ii)Provisions are not allowed into the school. Once seen/such provision shall be confiscated and the defaulter punished.
