Admission into all Air Force Secondary Schoolss is carried out by the directorate of Education (DOEDN) Headquarters Nigeria Air Force. Entrance Examination are usually taken all over the country following sale of entry forms. The sale of entry forms commences from November of the year proceeding the admission year and ends when the entrance examinations have been conducted.
Successful candidate are usually invited for interview in their respective Nigerian Air Force Secondary Schoolss earlier selected while completing the application forms. An interview board is set up by the DOEDN for each school which interviews and recommends suitable candidates for admission.
At the interview, candidates are often expected to present the letter of invitation for the interview, interview fee, photocopy and originals of birth certificates or declaration of age, personnel occurrence report (candidates of military parentage only), Testimonial Certificate as evidence of completion of primary 6, writing materials and recent passport size photographs.
Before candidates are admitted, they must satisfy the following conditions
a. Candidates must be between the ages of 11 – 14 years by September of the admission year
b.Candidates must have completed primary 6. Preference is given to candidates who completed their primary 6 in Air Force Primary Schools.
Another mode of entry is through transfer into some specific classes. This mode is available at Air Force Secondary Schools Ikeja being day school. However, transfer request are entertained only when vacancies exist, if the candidates seeking the transfer secures the cut of score at the placement test and meets all other criteria set by the school for admission. Admission through transfer is only available into JSS 2 and SSS 1
