The school operates the 6-3-3-4 system of education as provided in the National Policy of Education. Students undergo the 3years Secondary Schools and 3years senior Secondary Schools education before graduation.

Subjects taught in the school are offered in eight departments namely:
Mathematics, Languages, Science, Social Science, Vocational, Technical, Business and Computer Science departments. In the Junior Secondary Schools, the subjects offered are: English Language, Integrated Science, Business Studies, Mathematics, Typing, Shorthand, Fine Art, French, Christian Religious Knowledge (CRS), Islamic Religious Knowledge (IRS), Physical Education, Social Studies, Agricultural Science, introductory Technology, Music, Home Economics, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo.

The subjects offered in the Senior Secondary Schools include Literature in English, English Language, French, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, IRS, CRS, History, Geography, Music, Government, Economics, Commerce, Accounts, Business Method, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Physical Education, Further mathematics and Mathematics. Other subjects are Technical Drawing, Woodwork, Electrical Engineering and Metal work.

There is a Guidance and counseling Department which renders career guidance, counseling and behavioral molding of activities to both students and staff. The department also undertakes the teaching of civics, morals, citizenship and leadership education.
