Situated on a lofty hills of plateau state of Nigeria and at the old site of the Federal Government College Jos, the Air force Girls’ Comprehensive military school with an initial intake of eight students (Junior Air Women). The staffs were made up of both military and civilian personnel. The aim then was to produce a disciplined group of girls who would be able to face other challenges (including combat) of life than just being house wives.
However, in order to ensure a board base academic curriculum and guide the girls towards academic, technical and vocational pursuits as well as provide a more democratic and participatory atmosphere to both parents and the wider society, the school was demilitarized in the year 2002.

OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the school include:
- To actualize the aim and objectives of secondary education as set out in the national policy on education through the pursuit of appropriate curricular, syllabi and teaching aimed at preparation for useful living and for higher education. To achieve this emphasis is laid on JSCE, WAEC, SSCE, NECO SSCE and JAMB UME Syllabi.
- To provide a conducive environment through effective infrastructural maintenance for proper physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development.
- To foster the sprit of oneness and national unity among the girls.
- To develop and expose those positive latent qualities the girls have in well articulated co-curricular activities for overall academic excellence.
- To inculcate good citizenship, leadership qualities and national consciousness.
