AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF COMMANDANT AFSS KADUNA(Gp Capt J.P. Musa)
Group Captain Jummai Philip Musa was born on 22nd November, 1959 in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. She attended St Mathew’s Primary School, Kurra –Falls from 1968 – 1974 and thereafter proceeded to Gindiri Teacher’s College from 1974 – 1976 where she obtained a Grade II Teachers’ Certificate. She then attended Advanced Teachers’ College, Zaria from 1980 - 1983 where she earned a National Certificate of Education (NCE). She later proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. In 1991, she earned a Masters’ Degree in Education (M.Ed) from University of Jos, Plateau State.
Group Captain JP Musa was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force in January 1988 and was immediately posted to Air Force Girls’ Military School (AFGMS) Jos (now Air Force Girls’ Comprehensive School Jos). While serving in AFGMS, she held various appointments. These include: Academic Instructor, Squadron Commander, Officer in-charge (Oic) kitchen, Admin Officer (AO) Academic Wing and Motor Transport Officer (MTO) .She was posted to Headquarters 330 NAF Station from 1998 – 2001 as the Group Education Officer and was later posted to Air Force Girls’ Comprehensive School(AFGCS) Jos as the Officer Commanding (OC) students’ Wing from 2001 – 2002.
Group Captain Musa was appointed Commandant, AFGCS Jos from 2002 – 2006 and was thereafter posted to 320 Technical Training Group (TTG) from 2007 – 2009. While at 320 TTG, she served as the Commanding Officer General Academic School (CO GAS) from 2007 – 2008 and later as the Head of Department General Academic Department (HOD GAD) from 2008 – 2009. Group Captain JP Musa was posted as the Commandant Air Force Secondary School Kaduna in February 2009 and still holds that appointment to date.
She has attended several military and civil courses which include Advanced Digital Appreciation Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Course, Strategic Leadership Management Course and the Staff Course (Junior Division) at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji. She holds a certificate in Computer Appreciation from Vintage Computer School.
Group Captain JP Musa is happily married to Engr. Philip Musa and is blessed with four children. Her hobbies include, traveling, reading, writing stories and playing basketball. |
