AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF COMMANDANT AFSS PORT HARCOURT
Group Captain A O SHODEINDE (NAF/2000) FSS MSS pjsc was born into the family of Mr and Mrs. A Adeyemi; both of blessed memory. A native of Odolameso in ijebu-imushin, Ogun state. Attended Anglican Girls Primary School, Surulere Lagos and proceeded to St Anne’s School Ibadan where she obtained her West African school Certificate (WASC). Thereafter, proceeded to Ogun State college of Education, Ijebu-ode for her National certificate in Education (NCE) between 1979-1982 where she read Mathematics and Chemistry.
She served as a National youth Service corp member at Iyeru Grammar School in Offa, Kwara State 1982/83, proceeded to university of Ibadan 1983-1986 and obtained a bachelor of Education (Hons) Degree in Education Management and Chemistry (B. Ed). She attendee university of Jos and obtained a masters degree in Educational Administration and planning (M.Ed) and proceeded to University of Lagos for a PhD programme in Educational Admin and planning.
Gp Capt Shodeinde was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force in July 1987 as a Flying officer and was posted to Air Force Girls’ Military School (AFGMS) Jos as a Science Instructor. In 1995, she was posed to 330 NAF Station Jos as the Base Education Officer (BEO) 1995-1998 and was posted back to AFGMS as Principal instructor Science (PIS) 1998-2001.
In January 2001, she was posted to Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (HQNAF) Camp, Lagos as the Base Education Officer (BEO) and then to 403 Electronics Maintenance Deport (EMD) Shasha as BEO too. In 2006, she was posted to Armed forces Resettlement centre (AFRC) Oshodi as the Commanding Officer (CO) Fashion Facilities alongside, served as acting Commanding Officer (AG CO) Security and Management dept.
Gp Capt Shodeinde was posted to Air Force Secondary School, Makudi as the commandant briefly before being deployed to headquarters Logistic Command (HQ LC) Ikeja, Lagos as the Command Education Officer (CEO). She was later deployed to Air Force Secondary school Port Harcourt in May 2010 as Commandant. She attended and passed staff course at the Armed Forces Command and staff College (AFCSC) Jail, Kaduna.
She is happily married and blessed with 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy. She loves cooking, swimming and reading.
